A case of the bla-a-a-'s

Two times now I have vented on my blog and not posted it. So it is a good way of journaling. Today after 14 day's of a 12 year old that stayed with us while her mom serves in the military. I am breathing a sigh of relief that my kids are grown and they survived me... and I have been sick with a tooth infection for nearly 2 weeks. And the woes of another dentist bill give me anguish. Then in my sigh, I read Nie,Nie's blog. I love reading her blog. WOW, I can always come to my senses and stop complaining after reading her entries. After seeing so many people trials I have to say " I AM SO BLESSED" I love the fact that I have the ability to WORK, EXERCISE, GAIN MORE WEIGHT, HAVE A TOOTH INFECTION and MISS MY KIDS, MISS MY GRANDBABIES, and WORRY and recognize that others have it so much harder than I. FOR RECOGNIZING MY MINIMAL TRIALS MAKES ME GRATEFUL!

HAPPY THOUGHTS!

I can't remember when watching my kids and grandkids feeding the ducks has not been a HAPPY TIME!!! My kids remember feeding the ducks with Grandma Baker in American Fork up by the Mt. Timpanogas Temple. Ahhh such a fun time. And now as a Grandparent I can make sure the tradition continues! Madison was sleeping when we were feeding the ducks in El Dorado on their latest visit. I'm missing those grandbabies! So for me here is some HAPPY THOUGHTS!!

Memories....

The most important thing about this entry is the date: It is Nov. 5th 1987 this is what it say's: Ruff is our new puppy. He is black and white. I take care of him.Whenever I open the back door he sneeks in the house. Ruff follows me everywhere. Ruff really likes me. Ruff runs away sometimes. One day he ran to the pit and I couldn't find him. My friend Jesse found him. I sure was happy. (the pit--- oh! this was behind Our subdivision in Orangeville) Since being in Young Women now for a few months has been a good reminder of the good ol' day's! Our lesson last Sunday was on keeping Journals. Well this week the missionaries have been in Nauvoo so I've taken the week to DIG IN! In my searching I found Tyrel's journal. Now just so you know I won't share anything he wrote-- When he was an infant I started his journal and then when he was old enough to write he continued it. It is the sweetest thing. I'll include a few pages. I know that my daughter in law, Laura does the same thing and it will be a treasure to her girls. Well in this paticular journal I drew pictures and colored them. and then when Tyrel started writing he also included pictures. I found this entry: Ruff the Dog RUFF was a perfect addition to our family. Everyone grew so attached to Ruff. She lived to a ripe old age. When Tyrel went on his mission to New York , Ruff began to start showing signs that she might not live. Towards the end of her life we kept him in the house. Against all my rules, but Ruff got special care! Ruff could smile, Ruff would snuggle up to Clark and so we both fought for attention!! We have so MANY MEMORIES! Tyrel came home from his mission on Dec. 30th. Ruff lived long enough to welcome him home and then that day she passed away. It was amazing that she held on long enough to see Tyrel home. We felt it was a miracle. It's amazing how we get so attached to animals. They become such a big part of our lives.

...and the ROCKETS RED GLARE

BOMBS BURSTING IN AIR GAVE PROOF THROUGH THE NIGHT THAT OUR FLAG WAS STILL THERE!
We enjoyed the fireworks sitting on our back porch while our street of back door neighbors lit some FABULOUS FIRE WORKS(either they are cheap in Kansas or a bunch of people spent BIG BUCKS). A beautiful show from 9 to 11. I kept telling Mr. Clark oh I bet that was the finally and the finally continued. And thanks to GLEN BECK, I thought --YES ROCKETS RED GLARE, BOMBS BURSTING IN AIR. WHAT GREAT SACRIFICE'S OF ALL THOSE WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR US TO LIVE IN SUCH A WONDERFUL COUNTRY! GOD BLESS THE USA!

Our 4th of July Surprise!

YES THERE ARE BURNERS ON BOTH SIDES! Elder Albaugh hooking up the propane! AND OFF TO GRILLING WE GO!!!
HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY, Luckily for some or you, you are all celebrating with family and friends big time! For us, we celebrating by counting our blessings that we live in such a wonderful country and that so many gave/and give their lives so that we could enjoy such comfort.
Yes, We are also blessed to be able to have employment in a day when so many are not so fortunate, so on this day, Mr. Clark has been at work off and on. Hmmmm I would say 20 of the last 24 hours.( That might be stretching it...Let's just say he pulled an all night- er!! plus his reg. shift and has been checking in all day today...)
And we took a 2 hour break to FINALLY get a barbecue. We have been searching for just the right one for us. One we can both agree on... Yes I refuse to have stainless steel, (thanks to my stainless steel kitchen). Mr. Clark refused to have part gas/part charcoal(this is what I wanted...). And after 3 months of searching. We brought home a basic grill. Grilled our first STEAKS and celebrated with yummy food! We are HAPPY the 'barbecue' dilemma is DONE!!!
HOPE YOU ALL HAD A WONDERFUL CELEBRATION!!!!
