Thankful Thursday: Who would have thought?

There are just too many good people in this world! The Secretary at Clark's Office gave him this magnifier. When it didn't help she suggested looking into the store at the Low Vision Center. She cut the add out of the paper and sent us on our way :) WE ARE SO EXCITED!
This is in Wichita, and Who would have ever guessed it has opened up so much HOPE for us to continue working.
AND a BRAND NEW MONITOR for his Lap Top. You can only see that his 23'' monitor is there. Today we were able to get everything on the screen in BIG LETTERS. So now he can read all of his e-mails. Kinda puts me out of my job as translator!!! But... He is so happy to get a little more Independence!!
This is the BIG LETTER keyboard. The 'cat' fans are so jealous. It won't be long and we are sure the mechanics at the operation will have this key board. !
We were also able to get a bigger Magnifier for the fineprint on his paperwork. It is WONDERFUL!
It's so HUGE for us! Yes, literally but it means so much to Mr. Clark to continue to do his job. So for this we are THANKFUL!
Isn't it amazing what they have come up with to help the visually impaired. We are so BLESSED to live in a time like this.

Sad Day at the Mills Mission Home, Transfers Happened

Elder Holley is going to Wakarusa(Topeka Zone) Elder Parente is going to Junction City, (Salina Zone)Tears. Elder Holley has been with us for 6 months. We want him to be able to move on to greener pastures all though he has been like our own. So mixed feelings. We Love him to pieces! Elder Parente has been the best thing for Elder Holley. They have been an AWESOME companionship. Elder Parente has been the one to encourage their team to work hard every day. Elder Parente has been the best thing that has happened to this area. He is about meeting and serving everyone in this town. Much love for him too. We will miss walking in the room and seeing them kneeling to pray. We will miss the piano going non-stop. We will miss the music of the violin. We will miss both of their cheerfulness. We will miss them studying the bible every morning. We will miss their strict obedience to the mission rules. We will miss their service to us. We will miss the spirit that is in our home with them around. And the blessings of the oppurtunity to have missionaries in our home has been a chance of a lifetime. They are closing our area for missionaries. Sad day, Sad day... To all of those missionaries that have stayed in our home. GOD BLESS YOU and REMEMBER "--- WHEN YE ARE IN THE SERVICE OF YOUR FELLOW BEING YOU ARE ONLY IN THE SERVICE OF YOUR GOD. " Well Done Elders and The Albaughs! Mosiah 2:17 (Book of Mormon)

Thankful Tuesday: a Glimpse of a "Normal" Day

We get small glimpses of some what of a normal day! Today as I was taking Mr. Clark to his office (for the second time today), he said to me, "it is 9:38" and I said, "What? you can see the time on your watch?" YIPPEE, nothing like butterflies in my stomach! WHAT A CELEBRATION!
Remember this picture when he couldn't see the H. Well on Friday at his eye treatment he read 3 big lines. If I would have had my camera I would have taken a picture of his thumb up! We were both so encouraged! And now we are looking forward to the day he can read the small print on his computer. When he can do that I will loose my job as designated driver! He will be able to once again be independent of me. Which you know he will miss! LOL
Today another glimpse of normal, Mr. Clark worked all day. When he got home we mowed the lawn. I was able to stay home and do laundry. It felt so good. We consider this to be a miracle! Prayers answered. We are blessed!

Testimony of the Book of Mormon

I love the power and (click on this to view)Testimony of the Book of Mormon. It bears witness of the divine Old and New Testiment. A story of people on another continent before and after Christ. It does not take away from the Holy Bible but assures its authenticy. IT IS TRUE. Because I took the test. I read it. I prayed to know if its true for myself.
