SATURDAY IS A SPECIAL DAY/UPDATE:

Saturday Song here:

I haven't had a moment to blog.
All week I've thought about how I've missed 2 weeks of THANKFUL posts. My only comment is ---Ms. Fiona the Filter has consumed every extra ounce of  our ENERGY! It sounds silly to say because it is such an easy process. We are working as a team .  It takes us both to lighten the burden. We try to rotate sleeping... and SHhhhhhhhhhhhh When Mr. C can't get the machine to work he does the cutest dance to get the fluid moving!!!! It makes me roll on the floor laughing!
Although Mr. C is doing OK, he still has some tweaking of the dialysis machine to get feeling better. His numbers still aren't looking great although his potassium level is PERFECT! First time in 2 years! Did I say that eating an overload of PROTEIN is tough...
He spent Friday with the nurse and testing AGAIN.
On an up note, we were able to sleep 'all night' last night. Much needed rest without any interruptions from the beeping sound of Ms. Fiona. Shew, it sure felt good. It has been a bit confining for Mr. C. Who made the comment Thursday, " I feel almost claustrophobic "  I can't blame him. He walks in the door from a long day at work, only to hear Fiona getting ready to plug in, every evening. We are hoping even more for a transplant so that this isn't for the rest of our lives??? WOW. We sure have compassion for people that have went through so much more with dialysis.   He is almost confined for 11 hours at night. (Which we are appreciative that it can be at night )sacrificing a few zzzzzzzzzz's to have some normalcy in the day.
As I layed sleeping with my head to the foot of the bed one night clearing the alarms of Ms. Fiona. I felt a sweet kiss on my cheek. I heard these words, " oh thankyou sweetheart.  Now get up in bed I will take over now " Oh he makes it all worth it! I love this guy!!!!!!!!
About our appointment with the Kansas University Transplant Team: Mr. Clark did CT Scans, X-rays,and 27 viles of  blood for tests. What an AMAZING place. So organized and prompt. WOW! We met with the Transplant Surgeon, and 5 others on the transplant team. We have learned some valuable things. One of them being what the process is to receive organs. It was humbling to hear the process that it takes to get an organ. It was tearful. We hope to get a live donor. We will find out what more we have to do or if we will qualify to get on the list next week. If we get on the list we will have to serve our time. After listing for 12 months, our name will move to the top.
So for now I'll have to take some time to do my Thankful post randomly. I'm looking forward to the summer break from school. WAIT A MINUTE we haven't had spring yet. BRRRRRRRrrrrrrrr it's cold in Kansas! JUST 3 weeks away to get back to blogging!

♬♪ This Is the Christ ♫♭

You can read the account  *HEREThey heard his voice, a voice so mild.
It pierced them through and made their soul to quake.
They saw him come, a man in white,
The Savior, who had suffered for their sake.
They felt the wounds in hands and side, And each could testify:
This is the Christ.
Chorus:
This is the Christ, the holy Son of God,
Our Savior, Lord, Redeemer of mankind.
This is the Christ, The Healer of our souls.
Who ransoned us with love divine.
I read His words, the words He prayed
While bearing sorrow in Gethsemane.
I feel His love, the price he paid.
How many drops of blood were spilled for me?
With Saints of old in joyful cry
I too can testify:
THIS IS THE CHRIST

This is a beautiful depiction of after Christ was Resurrected. Not only did he appear to the Apostles and the people in his land,  He appeared to  the people upon the American Continent. The multitude felt the wounds in his hands and feet. He blessed the little children. A beautiful account. The record is in the Book of Mormon in 3rd Nephi chapter 11-18. Another witness of Jesus Christ. The song was written by one of the Apostles in our day. James E. Faust and sung by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir  P.S.  I am giving a talk in church on Easter Morning. You can read what I referred to HERE

HE LIVES

"Here was the greatest miracle of human history. Earlier He had told them, 'I am the resurrection, and the life' (John 11:25). But they had not understood. Now they knew. He had died in misery and pain and loneliness. Now, on the third day, He arose in power and beauty and life, the first fruits of all who slept, the assurance for men of all ages that 'as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive' (1 Corinthians 15:22). On Calvary He was the dying Jesus. From the tomb He emerged the Living Christ. The cross had been the bitter fruit of Judas's betrayal, the summary of Peter's denial. The empty tomb now became the testimony of His divinity, the assurance of eternal life, the answer to Job's unanswered question: 'If a man die, shall he live again?' (Job 14:14)."

Thankful Thursday: Through Prayer

"Gratitude expressed to our Heavenly Father in prayer for what we have brings a calming peace-a peace which allows us to not canker our souls for what we don't have. Gratitude brings a peace that helps us overcome the pain of adversity and failure. Gratitude on a daily basis means we express appreciation for what we have now without qualification for what we had in the past or desire in the future. A recognition of and appreciation for our gifts and talents which have been given also allows us to acknowledge the need for help and assistance from the gifts and talents possessed by others."

Thankful Tuesday: Friday is coming! (a Update on Mr. Clark)

TODAY:
We are SOOOooooooooo
THANKFUL
for
The team at Fresinia Dialysis Center
and
A nurse that We feel we can put our trust in.
( he's gotta do a little dialysis tweaking)
Update: The dialysis fluid (for peritoneal) is suppose to make your blood sugar go HIGH.
Nope...
Mr C's blood sugar has been running too LOW
Also his blood pressure is running LOW
which means...
We have to cut down how many hours we are on dialysis?
or Add more hours??
Time will tell...
 Nurse Barbs Comment of
"I think you are going to be my problem child".
Mr. Clark's response, "I told you there is nothing normal about me"
LOL
You have to know his history to appreciate this one!
He is the one in a million rare cases!
And....
We are going to KANSAS CITY MED CENTER
ON FRIDAY THE 22nd of April

Thankyou Tuesday: Things I've learned this week...

THIS WEEK:

If you walk a blind husband (Mr. C had 2 shots in his eyes today)  into a  Restaurant they think you are old  (is 51 old?) and give you the Sr. Discount.
(ya, I don't like Senior Moments. We've had to many of them lately!)
Grrrrrrrrrrrrr

  I now have two lists:
My to BE list and My to DO list!

Being a "Rolley, Polley, Grandma" is something  my kids are OK with!

Patience to a impatient person is  answers to prayers.

Fiona the Filter (Mr. Clarks dialysis machine) is like a new born baby. She keeps us up a lot at night. She cannot be fooled but----We can and do live with less sleep!

Mr. Clark's work truck in the garage makes my heart sink. Lately it means he's sick.
After 5 days in bed---
Thankful today the Garage is empty...
(it means life is somewhat back to normal)
It's a better day!

YES, You can get the yucky fever/cold/cough virus twice in a season. Thats a first for us!

My kids surprise me with their memories...
some of them make me cry :(

I cannot live righteously on  good intentions.

 Acquaintances are not coincidences
check out this link: HERE:
Click on the pictures, they tell a story.
Find "Rescue Me" at the bottom.
It's the story from conference.

For these things I am Humble and Thankful

My Favorite time of year!

Find out What  Matters to me  Here.
Every Spring We get loads of INSPIRATION from our Church leaders. Watch it HERE Saturday Morning 10:00 am (ll:00 Kansas time) Saturday Afternoon at 2:00 (3:00 Kansas time) and Sunday Morning 10:00 and Sunday Afternoon 2:00 pm central time. So many messages of HOPE. It just recharges our Battery. I am so Thankful to know that God speaks through his Apostles and a living Prophet today. I have such peace that his church is restored and back on the earth today. I am Thankful for a young boy, Joseph Smith who followed the prompting of the Bible in James 1:5 and asked God. And then faithfully brought the restored gospel back to earth. I am thankful for Prophets of old. If I lived back then I would want to follow them as I passionately want to follow a Prophet today. I am thankful for the love I feel when I hear their counsel. We have direction in our lives. I am thankful to have the history of the Bible and also the history of the people in the Book of Mormon that testify of Jesus Christ. I am thankful that in Gethsemni Christ atoned for our sins and made it possible for us to repent and return to him. I am thankful that Christ was risen from the dead so that I too may rise again and be with those I love. I know these things are true. In the sacred name of Jesus Christ, AMEN
