Kinda had a 'hit the VERY bottom' moment. So this is advice to myself... I understand we all have our Gethesemne's. I read this today too, it is so comforting:Mountains to Climb HERE: (It's all about being 'polished'. Oh I need to remember that...)
Hope that this thought can comfort some one else too. HUGS and TEARS
The Mills family THANKFUL blog ▪ Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our ...past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow. –Melody Beattie

Another Update:
Mr. Clark had his surgery today to remove his P.D Catheter in his stomach. His stomach looks like he just had a C section. Poor guy. We are in recovery mode again. All is well(except he is sick of pain). After 5 surgeries is 6 weeks... He is excited to be one step closer to being able to shower again!
This is the final phase to our FAREWELL to Fionia.
Here is our top 10 reasons to rejoice:
1- No more sugar HIGHS. Fionia was just to sweet for Mr. C's system.
2- Less Infections--YAY
3- No more Tally- Tubing everywhere!
4- No more tied to a line for 10 hrs.
5- YES, Less supplies (Fionia was a high maintenance machine)
6- No more Beeping all night when Fionia thought our eyes were closed
7- Goodbye to feeling BAD. We just didn't know how BAD it was until he started with nx stage hemo dialysis. OH SO MUCH BETTER!
8-We won't miss Peritonitis. That heart dropping sign of a cloudy bag.
9- No more emergency calls to the help line because Fionia was so temperamental.
10- No more watching the POTASSIUM as close. For Mr. Clark this means he can have potatoes and tomatoes.
FAREWELL FIONIA!

Thankful Tuesday: Minimal issues and Sweet Nap time
Our new schedule with dialysis is going great.

When I get home from my day job, I try to take a power nap... To prepare for the night job!!!!
So THANKFUL for extra ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzssss and a good routine.
Now my body insists on NAP TIME!

Lengthy Latest:
Kinda explains our week! So here is a detailed update:
1- Started Home Nx Stage- (blood dialysis) I can only say that my blood pressure can sky rocket watching Mr. Clark's life (blood) in my hands - literally.
Only lost 2 pints of blood so far...
SERIOUSLY?
I've been told its ok...
blood squirting etc... Oh ya
A new respect for nurses/e.m.t's!
We won't talk about if he gets air in his blood...
Wooh eeeeh!
STRESS, OH STRESS
It has been terrifying to begin with but we are getting the hang of it.
We are enjoying having only 3-4 hrs instead of all night.
Mr. Clark is still getting 8-10 hrs of work a day in.

3- A little pin poke/callus on the side of his foot sent us flooding with memories of when he nearly lost his toe/foot in '08, so we took this very serious. Our Doctor sent him to a specialist who sent him for another fitting of special shoes that he's been wearing for years. And for an ultra sound of Mr. C's feet/legs. He has 50% blockage in his veins. They suggested getting his veins router rooted... or even stents put in his legs.
YES, WE SORTA FELL APART
6 surgeries in 6 weeks seemed a bit overwhelming.
And if this surgery happens? We have been worried about being put on hold with the transplant lists again.
&
yet again
You always think of the pain and recovery.
It took prayer and much meditation to come to
peace and realization that this

"Things are going well."
Some positive news.

Our Personal Spiritual Feast
I heard today that members of the Church of Jesus Christ view this weekend as our personal HOLIDAY! I like that! Because it is such a FEAST. It isn't just for members but ALL people. I can tell you that what I heard this morning, yesterday and today gives us (Mr. Clark and I and our Family) added strength to continue doing what we are doing. What ever it takes. We all, with our struggles and adversity can gain hope in Christ that he is aware of our difficulties and he is here for us. So much peace and comfort no matter what the battle. Also, Death is a part of life and it is just progression into eternity. I hope that you'll have the desire to here the words that I listened to that give us such hope. BLESSINGS TO YOU ALL What is General Conference HERE:
