Thankful Tuesday: Trust in Him

I often just post the first thing that pops into my head.
It's on my mind today.
If it appears as if I am 'preaching'
I apologize.
I am thankful that personally these thoughts help me.
I have a friend who just yesterday said,
"God, Hates me... As much as I try to stay positive, something is thrown in my path to cut those positive thoughts down."
Its about agency.
I remember my seminary teacher telling us that
if you are having serious trials
you must have a special purpose.
DON'T GIVE UP!
Trials are harsh.
My feeling is that God knows what we are going through.
He is beside us in our trials.
To comfort us.
To stand by us.
We have to TRUST IN HIM.
I've been reading Isaiah
Studying it with the discussions on KBYU
It makes it so plain to understand.
Today
the message was:
God is in charge.
He will deal with Evil
He will comfort us in our trials
if we trust in him.
Isaiah 12:2
Behold, God is my salvation;
I WILL TRUST,
and not be afraid:
For the Lord JEHOVAH is my
STRENGTH
and my song;
he is also my salvation.
Today and Always,
remain hopeful
Trusting in him.
It's hard when challenges
seem so overwhelming.
Thats when we need to trust in him the most.
PRAYERS for my Friend and her Family.

Kitty Litter

This pic. is really "KITTY LITTER CAKE" you can get the recipe here: allrecipes.com
I am using the
'not used'
REAL KITTY LITTER
I promise
ewwwwww!
I think I'm a GENIOUS!
I found a new way to use Kitty Litter...
Well I just might be a little SLOW
Maybe someone has already come up with the
BRAINY IDEA!
I have a big supply of Kitty Litter
not because I have a Cat
but
When We had the missionaries living with us
Elder Albaugh
used
Kitty Litter
to put on the driveway for oil cleanup.
And its been sitting in my Garage.
After Garbage day I had been spraying out the (outside) can with the hose.
And using my Dads idea (from his days in the Army)
to Clorox and dish soap and scrub it with
A BROOM!
When we left for vacation
I was rushing around.
I didn't want the street garbage can to
SMELL
up the Garage
SO I PUT KITTY LITTER IN IT!
Ah
Da!
So now,
on those cold days when I can't use the hose to clean in out.
I will use "KITTY LITTER"
Good idea hu?

HUMBLE takes on a new meaning...

This week has been very interesting.
Monday:
Adjusting to being home from vacation
with out my kids and grand kids:(
Mail, Bills, Grocery Shopping
Tuesday:
Moping
Face book/blogging
What to do,
What to do?
That evening?
Just as we were laying in bed about to close our eyes...
We got a phone call.
A lady needed a ride from out of the hospital,
a place to stay for the night.
Not knowing the situation?
Nervously
We went to pick her up.
She had NO family to call...
little did we know
NO HOME to go to?
Wednesday:
The person that might could pick her up
broke down?
I drove her to where she wanted to go.
Again
She just got out of the Hospital
she just had a heart cath.
A lady of 57 yrs of age.
NO HOME to go to.
I left her at the Library in a far away town.
It was hard to drive away.
I shared with her--
The need to find GOD
She shouldn't be trying to make things work on her own.
To make peace with her family.
And to LOVE ONE ANOTHER.
THEN...
I drove home.
In my nice new luxury truck
Knowing I had a roof over my head.
A family to call if I needed anything.
A husband to provide for my Luxuries.
Mr. Clark and I have
thought
and
thought,
and thought
about this woman.
That evening,
we had severe rain, tornado warnings.
We wondered.
Did she find a safe place to stay?
Should we have put her up in our home?
Through her choices,
she is HOMELESS.
I can't imagine.
I have more thoughts,
not sure I should express them.
I'm sad.
THE REST OF THE WEEK...
I AM HUMBLE
I will  remember her always.
My life will be forever changed.
Seeing an others burdens.
Remember her and people like her in your prayers.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNT SHERRON!

It is our Aunt Sherrons birthday! Aunt Sherron has been more like a Mom to me. She took us under her wing the second we moved to Emery County. She has been of service to us through out our lives. She has always made an extra effort to do special things for each one of us. I still have the many christmas poems, stories and 12 days of Christmas she did for us. She was taxi driver, sick day mom, and support of everything the kids ever did. From Ballet to football. Many, Many meals etc. She has been of so much service to the community, her church and extended family. Her life has been dedicated to others. She NEVER STOPS! She is INVOLVED in EVERYTHING She lives for it. We love her and appreciate the special person she has been in our lives. WE LOVE YOU AUNT SHERRON!
