How thankful I am that we've ADJUSTED to

the Beep, Beep of Ms. Fiona the Filter!

Today... However,

Has been a LOUSY DAY!

SOoooooooo

this morning,

Mr. Clark felt light headed.

And Fevering, Weak and
EXHAUSTED,
I haven't seen him this sick for a very long time.
Even through all the kidney failure issues.
Pray for him.

HE HAS THE DREADED

HORRIBLE

NO GOOD FOR NOTHING

LAST FOREVER

FLU/COUGH...

this is the second time around this season.

It's inevitable  with the flu season.

Just when things were looking up.

He was getting more energy etc.

So Just for Today,

This is Mr. Clark with his Dad. This was a very important event for Mr. Clark.
He was ordained a High Priest in our Church. One of the highest ranks in the Priesthood of our Church.
This was his father's first opportuntiy to ordain him. It was very important for Mr. C to have his Father do this.

This is our Son Tyrel with Mr. Clark. Tyrel was set apart as Elders Quorom President in his Branch for our Church.
It was special to be able to attend this also.

This is Mr. Clark's Aunt Sherron. She has been a very BIG part of our lives. Aunt Sherron is like no other person you'll ever meet. We love her so much. Mr. Clark and her  have a very close relationship.

All in a week! PLUS A GRANDBABY!

Monday, a complicated surgery to externalize the port. Needless to say, it didn't go well!
Tuesday:  Training for dialysis but we are sent home.   You must have room to put in 5 quarts of fluid. Need I say more...  Wednesday: the worse day yet. Things are not going well.
Thursday: Fluid goes in. Mr. C is still not doing well.  He is a lot of pain. Doctors concerned.. We freak out! We do not want surgery. WE PRAY! We were pretty discouraged. If you talked to us this day, I'm so sorry. We were pretty down. We came home to a room full of supplies * this is only 1/4 of them...
Meet  Freona the Filter! We are lucky enough to start dialysis all night instead of 4 times a day. We had great success  FRIDAY NIGHT but it came with NO SLEEP
FRIDAY: A better day. Mr. Clark can now eat FRENCH FRIES (without salt)  AND FISH! We are also off of most of his meds. The blessing of a machine doing the work of Kidneys
SATURDAY: Mr. Clark is feeling well enough  to cook breakfast. *note: this is not something he normally has done so its a CELEBRATION! We are eating BACON because he has to have salt because of dehydration.
We take a drive to the lake. He casts in his fishing pole. We stay for 1 hr and come home. A short day, never the less he felt a little normal! * Notice NO COAT! its 60 degrees. You are looking at Mr. Freeze. BIG, BIG Difference (THANK YOU RED BLOOD CELL BUILDER! even though you $$$$ cost 1/2 of my house)
What a difference from last Monday. When he seriously felt on the brink of death. We feel BLESSED! We realize we still have a LOT of hurdles in our adventure. But it feels good to not be weighed down with misery.

Thankful Tuesday: Our Focus is....

Not on Dialysis today.
Yesterday, cancelled due to the surgeon had an emergency. So the whole dialysis process postponed.
The procedure was delayed to 12:45 by a different surgeon?
which ended up to be 2 different surgeons
To externalize the  tubes (implanted 6 weeks ago) to use for peritoneal dialysis.
It was complicated...
Needless to say Mr. Clark said, He wants to be put 'out' next time! And He definitely couldn't be a woman with a C-section.
Today, Cancelled because Mr. Clark can't seem to get rid of excess waste...
unless a miracle happens in the next few minutes.
(Spent all morning at the dialysis center. Looks like we'll try again at 8:00 am on Wednesday)
Are we EVER going to start dialysis????
Sooooooooooooo
THANKFUL THAT OUR FOCUS CAN BE ON....
The safe delivery of our GRANDSON!
HOPING ITS TODAY!
(they are at the hospital!)
For this we would be so THANKFUL!

An Angel Among Us has gotten her wings.

Dearest Terry,
Words cannot express the appreciation we feel for your friendship and love. We are so blessed to have crossed your path and rubbed shoulders with you. We've said this so many times before, we can't say it enough. THANKYOU for being an ANGEL AMONG US. We love you.
You and Mr. Clark shared a special bond. He will treasure the memory of being able to put his arm around you everyday and ask you how your day is going. He will miss the dedication you gave to him personally.  Also to each individual at  the El Dorado operation of  *SAVAGE Corp. You were one of those people that could just DO IT ALL. You would always GO ABOVE AND BEYOND for EVERYONE. We often stated  "what would we ever do with out our Terry" and you always brushed it off and said some silly comment like, "everyone can be replaced" but what you didn't realize is NO ONE can replace your HEART and SINCERITY or your DEDICATION, YOUR HARD WORK. YOUR LOVE. You are a RARE JEWELL in our lives.
We all felt like we were the most important person in your life. I don't know if I'll be able to go to our "FAVORITE" restaurant again.  I will miss our monthly lunch dates. That is where I first got to know you and discovered what a special person you are. You are beautiful inside as well as outside. Your FRIENDSHIP is so special. Your devotion to your Sweetheart, Your Children, you love for your special Granddaughters. Your devotion to human kind through out our community. Your devotion to GOD. Your FAITH.
The days behind you have been most difficult. You have suffered so intensely with those who loved you standing beside you. It's been a difficult road, but you can now say, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith". II Tim. 4:7
You are God's special daughter, he chose to take you home with him to be even further assist so many. I know you'll be beside your sweetheart along with those dearest to you. You are free of pain. May you have peace and love with those in Heaven to greet you. You have "healed" so many of us with your love..
WE WILL MISS YOU beyond ability to express!  Your memory will  forever bless our lives.
WE LOVE YOU.

Thankful Thursday: Reflecting on the GOOD 'OL DAYS

Mr. Clark actually wanted to JUMP IN! He is contemplating taking his LAST SWIM before dialysis. We found out that he can no longer swim until he gets a kidney transplant. Now Mr. Clark isn't an avid swimmer although he LOVES the water. Thank goodness last summer we swam to our hearts content! Today he was reflecting on the ' GOOD OL' DAYS when he was a water skier FANATIC! He was one of those that could solemn s/p? (that's with one ski) and ski right on to shore and stay standing! Oh the day's of our FAVORITE adventures of so many lakes. Among our favorite: LAKE POWELL!  We talked about how when some one tells you, you can 'no longer do something' although you haven't done it in years... All of the sudden you REALLY want to do it!
So this day was a good REFLECTING DAY!  For this we are THANKFUL!
and Yet again, another chapter in our lives begins.
