Another thought for the day!

While traveling to Utah, Mr. Clark and I were listening to a CD on taking Ownership. In the discussion the teacher was talking about looking back on our lives and seeing what was some of the best times. He said it wasn't all the vacations etc. but the hardest adversity they faced and the experiences that they had learned that made their family closer and better for it. WOW. Everyone on this planet is faced with adversity. It is building your life better from it. He said this most important comment. Note: YES, I am going to apply in my life. He said, instead of saying WHY ME, WHY ARE ALL THESE BAD THINGS HAPPENING TO ME (OR US) say, ***WHERE DO I (or we)GO FROM HERE. Making positive out of negative can make all the difference. LOVE IT!

MY HEARTFUL, HUMBLE, THOUGHT FOR THE DAY!

There are just times when being HEARTFUL OVERCOMES ME ... I will always remain THANKFUL. Thankful even among ADVERSITY. At this time in our lives it is hard to watch others suffer. Especially when it is your own family members/children. Rivers of tears for them.

Today as I was listening to my daily discussions (Bible Study) on KBYU. I was humbled with the topic is Isaiah 58 on FASTING. Verse 9- Thou shalt cry and he shall answer "HERE I AM" It pointed out the extra effort of FASTING can ENABLE God to LIFT OUR BURDENS. I have always thought--that fasting one day each month( giving up 2 meals ) with a purpose was important. But today it hit me that PLEADING WITH GOD TO LIFT OUR BURDENS (through FASTING ) can be a GREAT BLESSING. 6:"Is not this the fast that I have chosen--to undo the heavy burdens and to let the oppressed go free."

Isaiah 58:8 " Then shalt thy LIGHT BREAK FORTH as the morning, and thine HEALTH shall spring forth speedily: and righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be the rereward." *rereward meaning: HE HAS OUR BACK*

My Hope is that Our family will join with us on SUNDAY, Nov 29th, for a special fast to help EASE THE BURDENS of FAMILY MEMBERS. To HEAL them of their afflictions. And to BLESS the lives of all those who are in need will be our purpose.

SO THANKFUL that we have the SCRIPTURES to turn to. It's is GOD speaking directly to us. To help us get through the trials we face everyday.

What a "TRANSFER"?

This is the part I'm NOT going to like! After just six short weeks one of the missionaries that live with us is transferring. Elder Phelps will be going to Cearney, Missouri. SADNESS overwhelms me. Lucky for us it seems like Elder Phelps has been with us for a lot longer. He has become "one of our kids" He would fit in the family so well!! He is sarcastic (in a good way) most of the time!. He always has a comeback, He's a jokester. He is one of those go with the flo kinda guys! and he's pretty PATIENT! We have had some pretty fun times. Elder Phelps from day 1 has ganged up with Mr. Clark to give me a hard time! (did I say I would miss that???) He's been the life of the party! Good, Good, Kid!!! He is humorous and --oh I have to say CRAZY too, (JUST CAUSE HE CALLS ME CRAZY!) He will be missed. boo hoo... tears too!

Season to be Grateful!

Well last year I focused on THANKFUL TUESDAY AND THANKFUL THURSDAY. I miss that! Here it is NOVEMBER and I have been thinking of all the challenges that our family is facing and I came across this thought.---
"GRATITIDE IS NEVER SO IMPORTANT AS DURING THOSE TIMES WHEN EVERYTHING APPEARS TO BE LOST"
So admist adversity, heart break, and challenges in our family, this is what I'm GRATEFUL for:
That TODAY, although I lost my faith that everything would be OK for a few moments. Running around the house crying when I heard the news of "Fort Hood" Shew... THANKGOODNESS for facebook I had information FAST! So that I could be reassured we wouldn't face another challenge in our family. Yes, My nephew Shaun was at a different military base in TEXAS and he had just came home on tuesday. FOR THIS I AM GRATEFUL !
SO FOR ALL THOSE MANY THINGS THAT I COULD SPEND A DAY LISTING....
OUR PRIORITY IS FAMILY,
AND ALSO FOR *JESUS CHRIST, who ATONED for all of our SUFFERING, MISTAKES, HEARTACHES SO THAT WE CAN REMAIN HOPEFUL
--WHEN EVERYTHING APPEARS TO BE LOST...
FOR **ALL THINGS I AM GRATEFUL!

Incriminating EVIDENCE!

This is Elder Barth who should be known as "MR CLEAN" He is obsessed with CLEANING which I TOTALLY APPRECIATE!!!! (His Mom will probably want to use this pic as EVIDENCE that he can do the dishes at home too. LOL!!)I didn't get a picture of him POLISHING the TOP OF THE CUBBOARDS or cleaning the TOILET, or VACUUMING. I was 'sorta joking' with him when I told him he could start on the BLINDS!! LOL!! HE IS A BIG HELP! Elder Phelps is the "FIX-IT MAN" He can fix anything. TOGETHER they make a great TEAM!

The Haunted Missionary House!!!!

A Fishin' Halloween Day!

SAVED THE DAY for this butterfly I rescued it out of the water!
The first and only catch of the day!
Bird Watching!
It's hard to believe that this day can be this beautiful in contrast to the day before. On Friday it was rainy, windy and cold, cold. On Saturday it was sunshiney and warm. So Mr. Clark and I ventured out to go fishing... NO COAT, NOT EVEN A JACKET and MANNO.... DID WE EVER ENJOY THE DAY!
