MIRACLES
On my way to the YMCA this morning I was listening to the radio. The talk was that a prominent church had sent in a team of investigators to determine if a young man that had fallen on his head and crushed his skull and survived. They were investigating his recovery to determine if it was a MIRACLE. HELLO.... Just have to say MY OH MY... There are miracles everyday. Does it take a team of investigators to say oh yes that is a miracle??????? I appreciate the fact that God still gives us miracles, it doesn't take a team for me to see. For that I am grateful.
ps--- I'm confused. The people that prayed for the injured man. Didn't pray to God?? They prayed to a war hero that is being 'considered' a Saint. Another HELLO... He shouldn't be 'considered' a saint HE IS A SAINT FOR BEING A HERO. But shouldn't we be praying to GOD???

HOME AGAIN, HOME AGAIN, JIGGETY, JIG

MISSING OUR LITTLE ANGEL BABIES!!!! SO HARD TO SAY GOODBYE:( LOTS OF TEARS...
No fun in unpacking, but glad to at least sleep in our own bed and all the comforts of HOME. We are fortunate to have the missionaries here to take care of the yard, our little garden and all the flowers. IF ONLY WE COULD LIVE CLOSER TO OUR KIDS and GRAND KIDS, LIFE WOULD BE PERFECT.

When the Sirens Ring

When the Sirens ring in El Dorado it usually means take cover. Well the sirens rang, I ran for my shoes, my phone and then my 72 hour kit and took cover in the bathroom. THE POWER IS OUT! I think to myself. Manno how many times in one year have we used our generator. Then I realize Mr. Clark is no where to be found so I run upstairs and search. He isn't in the house... he is outside with the rest of the neighborhood watching the funnel clouds. The sirens stop and then bellow the SECOND time. Clark gets a call from the refinery. Tornado's are reported to have touched down on Haverhill road, just a few blocks away and the refinery workers are hunkered down. So I watched with Mr. Clark. ARE WE CRAZY? When the sirens blare the THIRD time. I am back in the bathroom waiting it out! This has been the routine of the season(s). And yes, I think I'm getting a little more courageous living here. One thing I am grateful for. WE ARE PREPARED! We have become so accustom to emergency's it is almost second nature to kick in SURVIVAL MODE! That is something in most other states you don't experience. LOVIN' KANSAS FOR THE LESSONS WE'RE LEARNING! Just like we said in LOUISIANA , "We can get through ANYTHING now!"
