All in a week! PLUS A GRANDBABY!

Monday, a complicated surgery to externalize the port. Needless to say, it didn't go well!
Tuesday:  Training for dialysis but we are sent home.   You must have room to put in 5 quarts of fluid. Need I say more...  Wednesday: the worse day yet. Things are not going well.
Thursday: Fluid goes in. Mr. C is still not doing well.  He is a lot of pain. Doctors concerned.. We freak out! We do not want surgery. WE PRAY! We were pretty discouraged. If you talked to us this day, I'm so sorry. We were pretty down. We came home to a room full of supplies * this is only 1/4 of them...
Meet  Freona the Filter! We are lucky enough to start dialysis all night instead of 4 times a day. We had great success  FRIDAY NIGHT but it came with NO SLEEP
FRIDAY: A better day. Mr. Clark can now eat FRENCH FRIES (without salt)  AND FISH! We are also off of most of his meds. The blessing of a machine doing the work of Kidneys
SATURDAY: Mr. Clark is feeling well enough  to cook breakfast. *note: this is not something he normally has done so its a CELEBRATION! We are eating BACON because he has to have salt because of dehydration.
We take a drive to the lake. He casts in his fishing pole. We stay for 1 hr and come home. A short day, never the less he felt a little normal! * Notice NO COAT! its 60 degrees. You are looking at Mr. Freeze. BIG, BIG Difference (THANK YOU RED BLOOD CELL BUILDER! even though you $$$$ cost 1/2 of my house)
What a difference from last Monday. When he seriously felt on the brink of death. We feel BLESSED! We realize we still have a LOT of hurdles in our adventure. But it feels good to not be weighed down with misery.

Todd and I both commented today at church that he sure sounded and looked a lot better. The Lord is truly merciful!

I am so glad things are looking up. I know how heath issues can wear not only physically but mentally and emotionally to the point you want to give up. Keep your chin up and remember you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Your grandbaby is a cutie- I expecially like his shirt! I hope the dialysis keeps getting better and easier. And I hope that life keeps getting better and easier too! Have a good day!
